Mom Blog to Money Blog: Workshop

Women in business ROCK!

I Just Adore You ~ Thank you

We learned in Day 22 how  important a tribe, or blogging alliance, is in this business.   Online and Offline I have had the pleasure of knowing, collaborating, and being supported by some of the smartest, most talented, entrepreneurial, and lovely women on the planet.  Women in Business ROCK!

Some people dream of success… while others wake up and work hard at it.

I want to personally thank these women for giving me the confidence to grow at my own pace yet knowing when to push me to go farther.  I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that I would make this kind of money or be worthy of having these incredible women in my life.

HUGE Hugs and Thanks Go Out To:

Cindy  ~ Thank you for pushing me to write this online workshop and for giving me such a fun title!  Thank you for being the ‘big sister’ that I never had and knowing when to listen, when to chastise, and when to support.  I don’t deserve you.   Thank you for being the kind of mother that I desperately want to be.  Thank you for sharing so much of your time, talent, and adoration.   I feel like the luckiest person alive to have  our chats at 4:30 every day.  I love you.

Tiffany and Francesca ~ Thank you for being my dear friends even though I’m SO not as cool as you two.  I’m not fifty shades, can’t rock a mic like you, and had to google “Mirassou”.  So I pinch myself when I’m with you because I’m SO not worthy.  Thank you for pushing me to step outside my comfort zone and giving me my first speaking gig, ever.  Thank you for being soo excited to do all the crazy ideas I came up and being SO stinkin’ supportive and protective of me.  Your influence, advice, example, and enthusiasm has pushed me to be the entrepreneur that I am today.  It’s because of you that I finally became the person I didn’t have the courage to be ~ and for that I will be forever grateful.  I’m indebted to you.

Holly ~ You are one of the smartest people I know.  I’m constantly inspired by your take-over-the-world social media strategies and I feel honored that you’re willing to share them with me.  Thank you for being a shoulder to cry on, a constant source of trouble-shooting, and fellow tech geek.  Thank you for being such an amazing mother and an example that I’m constantly getting great ideas from to implement into my own home.  I admire you.

{Angie, Me and Amy at BlogHer}

Amy ~  Thank you for opening up your world, your life, and business mind.  I am constantly motivated by our long chats and strategy sessions.  You’re so smart, so talented, and so business-mined that it’s mind boggling.  And you’re creative too!  I LOVE that.  I love that we’re both tech geeks, but love to dress girly, we both love money and are proud of it, that we both are real and share each others joys and pains.  You are a constant source of support, advice, and help when I need it the most.  I treasure you.

{A favorite tradition of mine with Jyl … thanks to Justin}

Jyl ~  Thank you for provoking one of the most defining moments in my career when you had the courage to tell me to suck-it-up and be the public image my Mom-preneurs need me to be in order to promote them effectively through Tip Junkie.  Your advice was so warm and encouraging and exactly what I needed to hear ~ at the moment I needed to hear it.  Your example of ‘living the dream’ by promoting other women has truly inspired me to continue my passion of promoting creative women.   I love our deep chats and the wonderful connection that we have as mothers, women, and wives.  I support you.

{Rachael, Kim, and Me at Evo Conference}

Rachael  ~ Thank you for always keeping it real.  I can’t thank you enough for your support, your collaborations, your business, your time, and for being such an incredible advocate on my behalf.  You are such a generous person and our profession is a better one because of your example.   You’re an incredible inspiration of someone who knows how to innovate in this space while keeping your identity and purpose.  I revere you.

{Allison, Me, Angie, and Kat at BlogHer}

Angie ~  Thank you for being so amazing at systems, time management, negotiation, networking, and fabulous at everything you do.  I consider it an honor to have you in my life and in my business.   Thank you for your incredible talent, your ability to make me look good and sound smart, and for keeping the crazies out of my life.  Begging you to join me in this adventure has been hands down one of the best things I’ve done the past few years and another defining moment for me. Thank you for having all of the talents that I do not.  I respect you.

Allison ~ Thank you for being so great with people.  I am in constant amazement by how well you connect! Your strength in overcoming obstacles, making the best dadgum lemonade with uber-sour lemons, and finding such joy around you is inspirational.  Thank you for sharing your experiences with me as they have truly helped me grow both personally and professionally.  I love that you’re a big picture person and I find my world opening up wider and wider after each phone call I have with you.  You have an ‘old soul’ that my ‘young soul’ craves to be around.  I value you.

{Jenny and I will always have the zip-line}

Jenny ~  Thank you for bringing so much glitter, joy, and giggles into my life.  I can’t help but smile and be silly when I’m around you.  You seem to bring out the Fun-Laurie and I can’t thank you enough for that!  Our adventures together have brought me so much joy and laughter and I have so many incredible memories that I’ll always cherish.  Thank you for having such mad skilz with the vlog.  For being so open with yourself, so generous with your compliments, and being so stinkin’ fab.u.lous.  There needs to be more Jenny-On-The-Spots… on my block. {cheezy grin}  I heart you.

{Only a sister knows when you need to shoot something… then makes it happen.}

Lisa ~ Thank you for being the most incredible source of support, advice, and strength.  You are a better sister to me than I am to you, and I’ll be forever guilt-ridden, yet eternally grateful!  I aspire to be as relaxed and fun and engaging as you always are.  Thank you for believing in my crazy ideas even though they make me crazy, listening to my shop-talk when it sounds like Greek, and for seeing me as ‘my best self’ even though I rarely am.  I cherish you.
